Make your own CBD brownies
What is the difference between CBD and THC?
Not all weed is the same. Many people don't know the difference between CBD and THC. Don't worry we will educate you....
THC, unlike CBD, is intoxicating to the consumer. CBD has virtually the same effect on the body. The difference is that the nerve cells in the brain are not anaesthetised and the substance has no psychoactive effect. This basically means that your muscles are relaxed while your mind can stay present.
Important to know!
We still advise you to be careful. Edibles have a stronger effect than if you were to smoke the substance, so these brownies could also cause discomfort. Edibles also take longer to produce effects. So give the brownie time (about 30 minutes) to develop its effect.
Peter Tosh would say: "It's good for the flu, good for asthma, good for tuberculosis, even umara composis". We say: "Good for a cosy evening". We show you how to make your own "edibles".
Let's be clear in advance these brownies will not get you
high! Sure, the manufacturing process is the same, but CBD doesn't do the same thing as THC.
Ingredients Cannabutter:
30g CBD flowers
450g butter
Ingredients Brownies:
200g cannabutter
300g dark chocolate, melted
280g flour
2 eggs
230g sugar
160g macadamia nuts, roasted
200g white chocolate
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla paste
Preparation Cannabutter:
Preheat your oven to 120 degrees and place your CBD flowers on a tray.
"Bake" the CBD flowers for 30 minutes, turning them every 10 minutes. This step is necessary to activate a non-intoxicating acid cannabinoid called THCA. Failure to activate THCA would result in a weaker or at best inactive end product.
You can now grind the flowers.
Melt the butter on low heat and add the flowers. Simmer the butter for about 2 hours. You don't have to stand next to it the whole time.
After 2 hours you can strain the butter, remove the flowers and leave the butter to cool.
Preparation Brownies:
Toast the macadamia nuts in a pan.
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees.
Melt the cannabutter and the dark chocolate.
Mix all the ingredients together.
Bake the brownies for 20-35 minutes.
Tips:
It is best to prepare the cannabutter the day before. This intensifies the taste and the effect!
